Ready Reception of Foreign Minors – Via Zurla 53

The Ready Reception Service for Lonely Minors aims to create a place of first refuge for lonely minors where they can be welcomed and all the procedures for the protection and inclusion of the guest boys and girls can be started. Via Zurla 53 is a community-type facility, characterised by the continuous availability and temporary reception of a small group of minors, (12 at most), with a group of educators who in turn take on the role of reference adults. The educational community offers a service that, temporarily and while waiting for more suitable solutions, guarantees the satisfaction of the minor’s basic needs, accommodation, food, and protection, and is active in the search for an effective response to his or her developmental needs. In particular, the care project must guarantee the minor qualified affective, educational and relational support in order to allow him/her to experience a positive environment of security, favouring the recovery of relationships of trust towards the external environment. The project is promoted by the Social Policies Department of Roma Capitale.
